Privacy policy

Repo Run is a free desktop app maintained by Manan Shah. It inspects public GitHub and GitLab repositories and compares their requirements with tools on your computer. This policy describes the hosted Repo Run service and the website at reporun.app. Independently hosted builds may use a different account service.
Google sign-in and your account
Google and Supabase handle sign-in. We receive account identifiers, your email address and basic Google profile information, such as your name and profile image when provided. We use these to identify your account and associate saved checks with you. Repo Run does not receive your Google password or request access to your Gmail, Google Drive or contacts.
Repository checks and saved history
Repo Run sends requests from your computer to GitHub or GitLab for the public repository you select. These providers receive the repository requests and normal connection information, including your IP address.
Your account history is stored with Supabase. Saved reports include the repository URL and commit, check time, inspected file names, detected project requirements, project scripts and framework information, relevant installed tool versions, compatibility results, and operating-system family and processor architecture. These records let you revisit and repeat checks.
The app does not upload your full tool inventory or absolute local tool paths with history. It does not collect the values of your local environment variables for history. It does not upload downloaded project folders or command output logs to the history service.
Information stored on your computer
The app keeps local check history, app settings and account session information. Account session credentials and optional GitHub tokens are encrypted using the operating system's credential protection. Local history is stored in the app's data folder; it is not separately encrypted by Repo Run.
If you connect a GitHub token, Repo Run sends it only to GitHub's API to validate it and perform repository checks. It is stored locally for your Repo Run account and is not synced to Supabase. You can remove it in Settings or revoke it on GitHub.
Services involved
- Google provides account authentication. Website pages may load fonts from Google Fonts.
- Supabase provides authentication and cloud history storage.
- GitHub and GitLab provide repository data. GitHub also hosts downloads.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website and may process technical connection and security information.
These providers may process technical logs under their own policies. If you approve software installation or project execution, package managers and the selected project may contact other services under their own policies. Repo Run does not control those projects.
Purpose and sharing
We use account and check information to provide sign-in, save and retrieve history, operate the service, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your account or repository-check data or use it for advertising. Service providers process the information needed to deliver their functions. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law.
Retention and deletion
The app retains up to the latest 100 checks per account in its active cloud history and local history cache. You can delete an individual check from Repository history while connected to the service. Other installations refresh their local history when they next synchronize. Deleted data may remain temporarily in provider backups or technical logs according to the provider's retention practices.
Signing out ends the active session; it does not delete your account or cloud history. To request account deletion or ask about your information, contact mananshah2254@gmail.com from the email address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify account ownership. Locally downloaded repositories remain on your computer until you remove them.
